INTRODUCTION
Maneuver brigades and battalions are the division's fighting forces. As a signal officer, you may be
assigned to one of these echelons, where you will be working with the operations officer and advising
the commander on signal matters. You must know how these units are organized so you can provide the
finest signal support. Before you study the maneuver brigade and battalion organizations, you need to
know the various types of divisions and the overall mission of each.
