(3) Split field red signal includes the standard color bars in the first
part, while the second part contains the red color-bar signal only (fig 3-31).
Video system noise, VTR head banding, and red phase are readily seen by using the
solid red split field signal.
Split field reverse signal provides standard color
bars in the first part and color bars in the reverse order during the second part
(fig 3-32). Dynamic range and color tracking of video monitors can be checked with
this test signal pattern.
