8. Hot and segment edits.
When you edit video tape, several sources for
assembling or inserting into the final production are used. The sources may
be from a live camera, telecine, live microphones, audio tapes, and other
video tapes.
a. A hot edit (first generation tape) comes from a live source, i.e.,
camera or microphone (fig 1-5).
It provides you with the highest quality
signal your system has to offer.
