Circuit Diagrams.
a. Identification of components of circuit diagrams. The study of telephony involves an understanding of
the operation and assembly of equipment consisting of many component parts. Some of the parts are small, some
rather large. The process of learning is simplified greatly if these parts can be identified readily. Identification
means more than recognizing them, however. It includes the ability to visualize how and where each part is connected
in a circuit, and knowledge of the theory and function of the part in that circuit. It includes a thorough understanding
of the relation of each part in a circuit to other parts, for only with this understanding can the skill necessary for
