Circulation system.
a. Agitation is the technique of moving the solution around the photographic material being processed
to ensure more even development by bringing fresh chemistry into contact with the paper.
(1) There are numerous types of agitation systems used in print processors but the method most
used and perhaps the oldest is the immersion method of agitation (fig 1-8). In this system, the paper travels
through the various solution tanks and receives agitation solely from its movement through the tanks.
(2) The immersion system is the least expensive and the easiest agitation method to maintain.
