of steps will explain how to disassemble the center mast section and remove the reflector.
Refer to the Fold-Outs specified by each step.
Open and refer to Fold-Out 5 while reading this step.
Set the brake control levers so that the arrows point upward. Loosen the red-
coded guy wires and unsnap them from the top of the launcher.
Continue to refer to Fold-Out 5.
Remove the pin from the clevis on the operating rod of the lower brake ring
and move the jacking lever to the vertical position. Wrap the chain around the
operating arm hinged to the top of the jacking lever. Then insert the pin to
lock the jacking lever in the stored position.
Grasp the launcher climbing steps and raise the launcher a few inches and
then rotate it 90 degrees left or right. Lower the launcher and rotate it back 90
degrees so that the lower climbing step rests in its catch on the base plate.
Check to see that the outer telescoping tube of the launcher has been stopped
by the loading catch on the base plate. Locate these parts in Fold-Out 5.
Rock the launcher to loosen the spikes holding the base plate in the ground.
Remove the spikes.
Close Fold-Out 5 and open Fold-Out 4. Refer to this Fold-Out while reading
the next step. Tilt the launcher enough to permit removal of the reflector and
the 1-foot 6-inch cable.
Refer to Fold-Out 4 and locate each part. Release the screw fasteners on the
reflector, fold it to its stored position, and tighten the screw fasteners.
Depress the catch in the upper end of the mast section that remains in the
launcher, rotate the reflector attachment assembly, and lift it out of the mast
section. Locate these parts in Fold-Out 4.
Upon completion of the seven steps you will have the launcher and antenna disassembled. The
