Gently immerse the hydrometer into the solution to be tested. The amount of solution
must be sufficient for the hydrometer to float (figure 22).
NOTE:
THE HYDROMETER MUST FLOAT
FREELY. IF IT CLINGS TO THE
SIDE OF THE BEAKER, GENTLY
SPIN IT FREE. (Figure 22.)
