Learning Event 1:
DESCRIBE FUNCTION OF DEFLECTION PROTECTION CIRCUITRY
1. General. The deflection system is designed with stable, precise, operational
amplifiers. These amplifiers are capable of handling the DC as well as AC
requirements for centering and deflection. The inputs of these amplifiers are DC
centering voltages and the required drive waveforms which are basically sawtooth
voltages.
2. Precise tracking of the red, blue, and green channels is obtained by driving
stable.
3. Differential registration is controlled by the camera control unit (CCU).
This is accomplished by varying DC voltages sent by the CCU to the master sawtooth
generator which controls differential registration.
located in the camera head by the camera cable. This cable is connected at the
back of the CCU and run to the camera.
b. Camera cables are not the same length. If the length of the camera cable
