STEP 12: Close Fold-Out 4 and open Fold-Out 5. Stand the launcher upright, and
secure the launcher base to the ground by driving the three spikes through the
holes identified by yellow bands near the edge of the base plate. Use the
universal tool that is supplied to drive the spikes.
STEP 13: Locate each part in Fold-Out 5 while reading this step. Grasp the launcher
climbing steps and raise the launcher a few inches. Next rotate it thru 90
degrees to the right or left. Then raise the launcher an additional 2 feet until
the entire yellow stripe on the lower part of the telescope leg is exposed.
Rotate the launcher back thru 90 degrees until the yellow stripes on the upper
and lower parts of the leg are in line. Lastly lower the launcher until a definite
stop is felt and try to rotate the launcher to be sure that it is locked in position.
STEP 14: Snap the free ends of the red-coded guy wires to the bottom holes in the guy
stakes. Then connect the snubber ends of the red-coded guy wires to the red
guy attachment lugs on the bottom of the launcher top plate. Refer to Fold-
Out 5 for part locations.
STEP 15: Tension the red-coded guy wires so that the launcher is vertical. Do this by
pulling the wires thru the snubbers on the guy wires. Check to see that the
bubble is in or near the center of the spirit level. The spirit level is located on
the launcher leg. When the bubble is centered, lock the snubbers. Fine
adjustments can be made with the turn-buckles on the snubbers. When you
have completed adjusting the red-coded guy wires there should be no
appreciable free movement of the upper part of the launcher. Refer to Fold-
Out 5 for location of each part.
