Division signal battalion.
The headquarters of the air defense battalion will be provided wire access into the
MSE network through a SEN switch (V2) and associated LOS radio terminal
AN/TRC-190. The equipment and soldiers are from an extension platoon from an
area signal company of the division signal battalion. (page 2-11, para 4b)
MSE is being fielded to both active and reserve component Army units. It is
replacing the ATACS located at corps and division. (page 2-11, para 4)
All of the above.
The air defense battalion uses wire to interconnect elements of the battalion
headquarters to the battalion TOC switchboard.
Where practical, wire
communications are established to interconnect a firing battery headquarters with
each of its firing platoons and each firing platoon to each of its firing units. (page
2-5, para 2)
The air defense battalion and its subordinate elements normally enter the FM
command net of the unit they are supporting to disseminate and coordinate air
defense support measures for the supported unit. (page 2-7, para 3a(5))
