c. Radio Repeater Sets.
Radio repeaters extend the operating
range of communications systems. Radio repeater sets may relay radio
and cable telephone, teletype, facsimile, or data, and also may make
radio-to-cable conversion.
(1) Radio repeater set AN/TRC-113. The AN/TRC-113 is an air or
ground transportable repeater set used to extend the range of radio
systems using radio sets AN/GRC-103.
It has the capability to
provide repeater or terminal facilities for LOS systems in forward
areas. You may employ the AN/TRC-113 as a 6-or 12-channel PCM radio
repeater, as three 12-channel PCM radio terminals, or as one 12-or
24-channel PCM cable repeater.
The equipment shelter houses all
operating components. The assemblage normally mounts on a l 1/4-ton
cargo truck (M-715). It uses a generator set (PU-625/G) mounted on a
power unit trailer and towed by the transporter truck.
