level commander concerning the enemy, terrain, and weather; direct electronic warfare resources in
consonance with the force level commander's concept of C3CM.
(c) Fire support. Develop and direct the fire support concept of operation to influence
and defeat surface targets by active, indirect means in support of the ALF concept of operation.
(d) Air defense. Develop and direct the air defense concept of operation to influence and
protect airspace of the ALF and defeat aerial targets in support of the ALF concept of operation.
(e) Combat service support. Develop and direct the CSS concept of operation to sustain
and reconstitute the ALF in support of the ALF concept of operation.
b. Subordinate systems.
(1) Subordinate systems are manual or automated systems which perform unique command
and control within the BFA. Examples of automated subordinated systems are the
