Control System. You will also learn how various division signal battalions are organized and equipped.

INTRODUCTION
As you learned in Lesson 1, each of the five battlefield functional areas (BFA) has a battlefield
automated system (BAS) to provide the command and control (C2) the commander needs. The Army
Tactical Command and Control System (ATCCS) integrates equipment, software information, and staff.
This integration consists of the automated C2 system for the BFA and the communication links between
and among the control systems. Figure 2-1, page 2-3, illustrates the signal support systems integration.
