(2) Paragraph 2 - Situation and Courses of Action. The purpose of the operation estimate is to consider
known and assumed factors and aspects of the situation which will affect signal operations, and to develop
feasible courses of action to accomplish the signal support mission. For logical development, it is divided into
four subparagraphs:
(a) Characteristics of the area of operations.
In evaluating the characteristics of the area of
operations for a signal estimate, consider:
Predictable or assumed effects of the weather and atmospheric conditions on the employment
of equipment.
Frequency propagation predictions for critical periods of the operation.
