INTRODUCTION
This lesson will describe the signal staff planning for divisional
military intelligence (MI) battalions.
As the battalion signal
officer, you must be able to accomplish this planning.
1. Signal Annex Overview.
The battalion signal officer uses the
signal annex as the primary planning document to plan and coordinate
signal support requirements for the unit.
The signal officer is
responsible for preparing the signal annex.
The signal annex
identifies signal requirements to support the battalion's mission.
It is an integral part of the battalion's operations plans (OPLAN)
and operations orders (OPORD).
