b. DC Line Signal Analysis. The data analyzer is connected in series
with a DC line or DC trunk, as shown in B of figure 2-1. As the signal
passes through the analyzer, the operator can see the numerical value of
distortion on the front panel meter. The oscilloscope gives the operator
a view of the passing signal waveform.
