External Signal Connectors.
(1) Cable assemblies are providers in two lengths.
Cable Assembly,
Telephone CX-4566/U is 250 feet long, and CX-4760/U is 15 feet long.
(2) The eight-step method of connecting a 26-pair cable connector to a
mounted socket in a signal entrance box is shown in figure 3-3.
The
operation requires the use of both hands, and the connector must be
pressed into it socket carefully and without twisting.
The cable
connector is then locked in place by use of the bottom knurled collar and
the lever.
A set-screw is provided to secure the bottom knurled collar
after the operation is complete.
The signal entrance box covers are
hinged and hang down over the cables for protection.
