LESSON 2
INSTALLATION OF INSIDE WIRING, CONNECTOR BLOCK, AND TELEPHONE
TASK: Install Telephone Substation.
CONDITIONS:
1.
PERFORMANCE. The student will be provided with a training area, 3 to 5 feet of inside house-
wire, telephone set TA-236/FT, C-Block, 2 No 10 round head woodscrews, terminal wrench, diagonal
pliers, predrilled hole in wall near substation protector, long-nosed pliers TL-107, small and large flat
head flat tip screwdrivers, local service request DA Form 3938, drill with 1/8 inch drill bit, and an OJT
supervisor monitor.
2.
PERFORMANCE-ORIENTED. The student will be given lesson material, pencil and paper.
STANDARDS: The student will correctly install inside house-wire from the protector to the proposed
location of the C-Block, install the C-Block, connect inside house-wire to the C-Block and install the
telephone set TA-236/FT within 1 hour.
