h. If the unit is completely operational, use WF-16/U and connect a telephone set to the proper
position; turn on the switch on that circuit card and place a call. Be sure to connect the wires to the
telephone first.
i. When you connect the WF-16/U to the rear of the TD-1234/TT or the TD-1233/TT, the wires
are reversed. Push in on the connector; place the end of the wire in the slot, be sure it is snugly in place.
If you connected the wires to the OUT connector, then you must place the other end of those wires in the
RECEIVE connectors on the telephone. Wires connected to the IN connectors must be connected to the
TRANSMIT connectors on the telephone. Go around to the front of the TD-1234/TT, look at CCA in
position A9 if you connected the wires to CHAN 1 and turn the switch on the top to the ON position. If
no telephone is connected to a CHAN connector, the switch on the CCA must be in the OFF position
(See Figures 1-31, 1-32, and 1-33.)
NOTE: If the CCA in A9 is an AAU, the switch should be in NORMAL. If the CCA in
A9 is an LP MDM, you would turn the switch to ON.
