3. Technical advances have resulted in a unique market of quality portable
equipment. The director has a large choice from which to choose for his field
production.
There are remote vans, camcorders, ENG/EFP systems, microwave
links, low light level cameras and mobile units such as small vans, lightweight
trucks or station wagons. Portable TV equipment is lightweight, flexible, and
easily transported. It is becoming smaller and lighter. Today, the wristwatch
television is a reality.
