Camera movements include the pan, tilt, dolly, truck, and arc.
a. A pan is a horizontal movement of the camera lens, to the left or right,
often used to follow action (fig 3-2). In a pan left, the camera lens goes to
the left.
Panning should not be overused because it can make the audience
"dizzy." It is desirable to precede the pan with a brief, non-pan shot.
