INTRODUCTION
Traveling along on a highway or expressway, the general alignment and

efficient and dependable progress of a line construction project.
Each
project is thoroughly evaluated and, when unusual conditions or situations
are present, special consideration must be provided to make sure that
nothing is overlooked.
Once the route is surveyed and staked, arrangements are completed to
provide the materials and supplies required to finish the project.
Well-
trained construction crews, working with proper tools and equipment, proceed
to carry out the detailed construction plan. Good workmanship is the result
of adequate and proper planning and organization.
The scope of this subcourse includes organizational planning, route
surveying, and grading.
Information on staking pole, guy anchor, and
fixture locations is provided.
It also contains information on detailed
planning and joint use of construction facilities. General information on
the use of construction vehicles is discussed in this subcourse.
This subcourse consists of three lessons and an examination.
