SIGNAL SUBCOURSE 732, RADIO SET AN/GRC-103
INTRODUCTION:
The fast moving Army of today needs a reliable, compact and transportable means of
radio communication. Radio Set AN/GRC-103 fills this need by providing facilities for
multichannel transmission and reception of pulse code modulation (PCM) signals.
The AN/GRC-103 will provide commanders with a means of keeping on top of all
situations if you do your part by learning and retaining the information in this subcourse.
This subcourse on the Radio Set AN/GRC-103 will provide you with the necessary
fundamentals for erecting and disassembling the AN/GRC-103 antenna, for tuning the
transmitter and receiver, and for performing operator's and organizational maintenance.
STUDENT ACTIONS:
Specific performance and lesson objectives are listed at the beginning of each lesson, but a brief
summary of these objectives follows:
1.
To provide you with the necessary information to lay out an antenna site, identify the
component of the AN/GRC-103 antenna system, and erect, lower and disassemble the antenna
system.

To provide you with the location of the controls and indicators used for tuning the radio set

To provide you with the items that must be checked during an operator's or organizational
preventive maintenance inspection. This will enable you to perform a quality preventive
maintenance inspection and correct defects when necessary.
