INTRODUCTION
As the signal officer in a divisional air defense artillery battalion, you must plan, coordinate, manage,
and direct all aspects of the unit's signal system. This lesson will identify and illustrate the radio and
wire networks for a divisional air defense battalion. Signal support using the older Army Tactical
Communications System (ATACS) will be discussed, followed by a presentation of Mobile Subscriber
Equipment (MSE) support.
