In this lesson, you will learn the organization and mission of divisional air defense units. You will also
learn the duties, functions, and responsibilities of the signal officer in a divisional air defense battalion.

INTRODUCTION
As the signal officer in a divisional air defense battalion, you will be responsible for providing signal
support to the unit. This lesson will introduce you to the organization and mission of an air defense
battalion in a heavy or light division. This lesson will also describe the roles and functions of the signal
officer assigned to that unit.
