INTRODUCTION
This lesson covers the basic procedures for safeguarding COMSEC material and associated facilities. These
procedures ensure the integrity of COMSEC material. They address many threats to COMSEC. Some of these
are loss, theft, sabotage, and unauthorized access to COMSEC material. Other threats include tampering with and
the clandestine exploiting of sensitive communications within a secure facility.
