Learning Event 1:
DETERMINE THAT APPROPRIATE REFERENCES ARE AVAILABLE AND CURRENT.
1.
A radio team chief requires access to references to properly direct
the operation of a radio team and to train the members of that team.
Without access to appropriate up-to-date publications, deficiencies in
training, maintenance, and performance will result.
2.
To determine the appropriate references needed, refer to STP 11-31C13-
SM-TG.
Task 113-571-7001, Supervise Station Net Duties, lists the
appropriate references for the performance of radio team duties.
These
references are listed in the conditions statement of the task.
The list
includes AR 105-31, FM 24-18, FM 24-33, (O) TB 380-41, your unit SOI, and
your unit SOP.
Each of these references addresses a particular aspect of
station operations. Much of the information you require is repeated in more
than one of the references.
Consequently, the list can be reduced to the
following required references:
o
AR 105-31.
o
FM 24-18.
o
(O) TB 380-41.
o
Unit SOI.
