PART B - ATACS ASSEMBLAGES
As discussed in part A, the components described so far can be
engineered into a variety of configurations to meet the mission
needs.
In this part of the lesson, we describe some standard
configurations, or assemblages.
We also discuss some of the
desired environment.

Assemblages.
There are three basic configurations, or types of assemblages, we
concern ourselves with in this subcourse.
They are (a) radio
terminal sets, (b) telephone terminals, and (c) radio repeater sets.
The following paragraphs describe examples of each
type of
assemblage.
a. Radio Terminal Sets.
Radio terminal sets are complete
assemblages that provide radio and multiplexing equipment for
terminating multichannel radio transmissions.
Equipment shelters
house the equipment and distribute power, usually obtained from a
generator, to operate the assemblage components. The
