5- and 10-kw Diesel Operations.
a. Move MASTER switch to PRIME and RUN position to allow fuel
prime set. (See Figure 45.)
b. When pumps slow down, move MASTER switch to PREHEAT position
and hold for 1 minute.
NOTE:
If engine does not come to operating speed
within 15 seconds, a minimum of 30 seconds
cooling
period
must
be
observed
before
attempting another start.
c. Move MASTER switch to START position and hold until engine
fires continuously.
(If engine does not start within 15 seconds,
repeat 4a and 4b above.)
