b. Spectrum management in unified and specified commands is under
the control of the highest command present. If a unified command is
designated, the policy guidance is provided to this command by the
Military Communications-Electronic Board. Component command guidance
is in turn provided with policy guidance in the same manner as
unified commands; however, since they are normally composed of units
from one service, their internal spectrum management is comparable to
that of a component command.
For specific operational missions, a
joint task force consisting of two or more military services may be
organized.
It may be of any size and is under the same spectrum
management procedures as a unified command.
c. In accordance with policies promulgated by the Military
Communications-Electronics Board unified and specified commanders may
make frequency assignments for certain intracommand communications
providing:
(1) Appropriate coordination has been accomplished with host
governments or local United States government agencies, such as
Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission,
or Area Frequency Coordinator, which might be affected.
