Essential Signal Support Tasks - Review.
a. Combat, combat support, and combat service support operations are
affected by the quality of signal support they receive.
Remember the
essential signal support tasks:
(1) Integrate force level C2.
The signal support integrates the
information systems within and among functional areas to optimize C2.
(2) Support the commander's campaign, operation, or battle plan. The
very reason signal support systems are developed is to support combat
operations.
(3) Synchronize force operations.
When signal support is planned
early and executed at the proper time, effective C2 can be achieved.
C2
drives synchronization of combat forces.
