INTRODUCTION
Signal officers are responsible for providing signal support in the AirLand
Battle (ALB).
Signal support can be defined as the implementation of the
five disciplines of the Information Mission Area (IMA) at the operational
through tactical levels of war.
The signal officer's challenge is to
integrate the five disciplines of the IMA so information flows effectively
and efficiently throughout the battlefield.
