f. The RAUs are deployed and operated by the division signal battalion. The RAUs are located in the
vicinity of the node centers and throughout the division area of operations to provide battlefield coverage. A
RAU can provide a 15-kilometer radius area coverage (planning range) in the area of operation.
g. Figure 2-13 illustrates how mobile subscribers access the MSE network. This MSE network uses four
node centers (NC). RAUs, located at various locations throughout the network, provide access to mobile
subscribers.
