hostile forces.
(b) MED is the alteration of friendly electromagnetic
emission characteristics, patterns, or procedures to eliminate
revealing, or convey misleading, telltale indicators which hostile
forces may use.
(c) IED is the introduction of radiations into unfriendly
channels that imitate hostile emissions.
c. ECCM is that part of EW which involves actions taken to retain
effective friendly use of the electromagnetic spectrum.
The
components of ECCM are anti-ESM and anti-ECM actions and activities.
