c. The MI battalion assigned to a light division is organized
with the same philosophy as its parent division.
It is easy to
transport and relies on additional assets from higher echelons for
support during combat operations.
The battalion receives corps
augmentation for ground-based jamming and electronic intelligence
support.
When the division is in a low intensity conflict
environment, additional CI and EPW interrogation augmentation is
provided.
This battalion has three companies (Figure 2-3).
It is
authorized approximately 295 personnel at full TOE.
