Operation. The operation of this instrument is similar to the telephone set TA-838/TT.
a. Differences. Some TA-954/TT DNVTs have an H-350/U handset. This handset can be used
normal by just speaking and listening. If desired, press the PUSH-TO-NRI switch to key the radio and
speak; release to listen. For users with H-250/U handset, press the PUSH-TO-TALK switch to speak
and release to listen.
b. Completion of call. Replace handset in cradle. Ensure the handset is under cradle bar and
RING/OFF-HOOK indicator light is off.
c. Types of operation. In addition to the normal operation of the TA-954/TT, the operator can
make use of the following types of calls:
Outgoing conference call
Incoming conference call
Outgoing precedence call
Incoming precedence call
