c. A month is defined as approximately 30 calendar days of 8-hour-per-day operation. If the
equipment is operated 16 hours a day, the monthly preventive maintenance checks and services should be
performed at 15-day intervals.
d. Adjustment of the maintenance interval must be made to compensate for any unusual operating
conditions. Equipment maintained in a standby (ready for immediate operation) condition must have
monthly preventive maintenance. Equipment in limited storage (requires service before operation) does not
require monthly maintenance.
2.
Quarterly Checks and Services
a. Each quarter, certain checks and services must be performed on the equipment.
b. Quarterly preventive maintenance checks and services on the contact printer are required every 3
months. Periodic operator's daily and monthly services and the organizational monthly services constitute a
part of the quarterly preventive maintenance checks and services and must be performed concurrently. All
deficiencies or shortcomings will be recorded in accordance with the requirements of TM 38-750. Perform
all the checks and services listed in the quarterly preventive maintenance checks and services chart (fig. 2-2)
in the sequence listed;
