c. Install power cable W6 to cable receptacle J2 located on the
front of the antenna coupler and the other end of this cable to
receptacle J1 o the front of the power amplifier.
d. Connect RF cable W5 to RF connector J1 on the front of the
antenna coupler and the other end to RF connector J4 on the front of
the power amplifier.
e. Install power control cable W2 to cable receptacle J2 located
receptacle J5 on the back of the amplifier converter.
CAUTION
WHEN MAKING CONNECTIONS TO THE BATTERY TERMINALS
OF A VEHICLE, MAKE SURE CONNECTIONS ARE TIGHT.
AVOID
ACCIDENTAL
GROUNDING
OF
THE
POSITIVE
TERMINAL.
f. Connect DC power cable W3 to cable receptacle J3 located on
the vehicle. If you are using power supply PP-7333, connect it to J1
g. Connect RF cable W1 to RF connector J5 located on the front of
the power amplifier and the other end to the RF connector J7 on the
back of the amplifier-converter.
CAUTION
THE VOLTAGES AT THE ANTENNA TERMINAL J4 WHIP
ANTENNA ARE VERY HIGH DURING OPERATION.
EXTREME
CAUTION MUST BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THESE
TERMINALS ARE AT LEAST 6 INCHES AWAY FROM NEARBY
OBJECTS SUCH AS CABLES, GUY WIRES, BRACKETS, OR
GROUND LEADS.
h. Attach the whip antenna lead-in cable, big end, to whip
antenna connector J4 located on the front of the antenna coupler and
located on the front of the antenna coupler and the other end to the
doublet antenna if you are using the doublet antenna.
j. Attach the ground strap to one of the ground terminals on the
front of the antenna coupler and the other end to the mount.
