Disconnect the CX-13061/U from J3 on the
KY-57
and
measure
voltage between pins N(+) and G(-) on P2.
If the meter indicates no voltage, turn the RT power switch to
OFF. Remove the R-442 from the MT-1898.
Disassemble the MT-1898 and disconnect the CX-13061/U cable from
J3 on the J-3514.
d. Test procedure 35.
(TP1a), from pin H of P1 to pin N of P2 and from pin A of P1 to pin G of P2.
If the meter indicates infinite ohms on either measurement, the
CX-13061/U is bad. Send to COMSEC maintenance for repair.
If the meter indicates zero ohms, the CX-13061/U cable is good.
The next test point is TPlb.
Remove the J-3514 P1 from the MT-1898 J12 and measure continuity
on the MT-1898 J14 pin C to J12 pin C.
If the meter indicates infinite ohms, the MT-1898 is bad.
Repair
it if possible, if not send to IDS for repair.
If the meter indicates zero ohms, the MT-1898 is good, the J-3514
is bad. Send to COMSEC maintenance for repair.
e. Test procedure 36.
If performing TP1, the meter indicates 22-30
volts DC between pins N and G on the CX-13061/U, P2.
Reconnect the CX-13061/U to J3 on the KY-57.
Loosen the wing nut on the KY-57 mount and pull the KY-57 and
HYP-57 forward until the CX-13063/U (on the back of the HYP-57)
can be reached.
Disconnect the CX-13063/U from J2 on the HYP-57 and locate pins
A(+) and B(-) on P2.
Measure voltage between pins A(+) and B(-) of P2 (TP2).
f. Test procedure 37.
If the meter indicates no voltage at TP2,
disconnect the other end of the CX-13063/U from the J-3514/U J4 by removing
the R-442 from the MT-1898.
Disassemble the MT-1898 and remove the CX-13063/U from the J-
3514.
Measure continuity through the CX-13063/U from pin A of P1 to pin
B of P2 and pin B of P1 to pin A of P2.
If the meter indicates infinite ohms on either check, the CX-
13063/U is bad. Send to COMSEC maintenance for repair.
