Both reflector and the dipoles are made of aluminum. For ease of transportation or storage, the
reflector folds into a flat package which is secured with a restraining strap. When the reflector is
opened it is set to one of three marked angles for BAND I, II, or III operation. The antenna can
be mounted on the mast for either vertical or horizontal polarization. Antennas at both radio
terminal sites must be polarized the same for maximum efficiency. Figure 12 shows horizontal
and vertical polarization of the antenna.
