TASK
Check communications security to include physical security, cryptographic
security, transmission security, and authorized entrance lists.
CONDITIONS
Given information contained in AR 340-17, AR 380-5, FM 34-62, and (O) TB
380-41.
STANDARDS
Identify standards for use of authorized entrance lists, proper physical
security, cryptographic security, and transmission security IAW AR 340-17,
AR 380-5, FM 34-62, and (O) TB 380-41 by correctly responding to 80 percent
of the multiple-choice test.

AND FOR USE OF AUTHORIZED ENTRANCE LISTS

Physical security includes all measures necessary to safeguard
classified material from unauthorized persons. Given the critical nature of
COMSEC material and its use, communications centers must be physically
secure.
Although specific duties for security may be assigned to
individuals, all individuals are responsible for physical security at all
times.

Physical security measures must be provided to ensure the protection
of COMSEC material from its production through its destruction. The threat
of compromise exists through capture, salvage, theft, observation,
photography, or personnel carelessness.
The application of security
measures by all personnel minimizes the possibility of compromise and aids
in attaining optimum COMSEC within your area of responsibility and your
command.
