32. Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program Objectives.
The
objectives of the Army Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program are
to:
a. Achieve electromagnetic compatibility for all
items
of
communications-electronics materiel in use by the Army.
b. Attain electromagnetic compatibility
through
design
rather
than through use of remedial measures.
c. Foster common Department of Defense-wide electromagnetic
compatibility philosophies, approaches and techniques in the design,
production,
test
and
operation
of
communications-electronics
materiel.
33. Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program Elements.
a. Figure 12 shows the program elements common to both the Army
Electromagnetic Compatibility Program and the Department of Defense
Army Electromagnetic Compatibility Program. Responsibility for these
program elements has been delegated to various Army commands by AR 5-
12.
