(2) Reinforcing Mission.
(a) Internal nets. When assigned to the reinforcing mission, the internal nets are the same as those
required for the DS mission.
(b) External nets. External nets change to reflect the responsibility of reinforcing to reinforced.
(3) General support reinforcing mission.
(a) Internal nets. The cannon battalion may be assigned the tactical mission of general support
reinforcing. The internal nets are the same as for the DS mission.
(b) External nets. External nets change to reflect the responsibility of reinforcing to reinforced.
(4) General support mission. The cannon battalion with a GS mission operates three internal nets
(battalion command net, battalion fire direction net, battalion administrative/logistics net) and three as-required
nets.
3. FA Battalion Wire Systems.
a. The size of the battalion wire system depends on the time and resources available. Battlefield dynamics
often prevent the installation of an entire wire system. The battalion
