DEFINE ORGANIZATIONAL MAINTENANCE

Organizational maintenance is the all encompassing phrase for all maintenance performed at the
organizational level. It covers preventive maintenance, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair.

There are certain tools and materials that are required for organizational maintenance. While you
will not need all the items every time maintenance is due, you need to make sure that everything is available
in case you do need it.
a. All the required tools are contained in the Photographic Repairman Tool Kit TK 77/GF (FSN
5180-752-9068).
b. There are several materials that are required for organizational maintenance. They include such
items as cleaning compound, a lint-free cloth, Keystone No. 44 lubricating oil, a camel's hair brush, engine
oil (OE-30), sandpaper, and Aircraft and Instrument Grease (GL).
c. The only piece of test equipment that may be needed for organizational maintenance is a
