Adjustments. The construction of the contact printer precludes any adjustments other than the
gearbelt tension. The cams are pinned in place and the microswitches are secured so that they can operate in
only one way. There are two gearbelts at the rear of the contact printer, each is adjusted in an identical
manner.
a. Remove the gearbelt cover by removing eight screws.
b. Loosen the idler that rides on the gearbelt by unscrewing the idler screw.
c. Swing the idler against the belt until the belt tension is firm and tighten the idler screw on the
idler.
d. Replace the gearbelt cover and secure with the eight screws.
