b. Replacement.
(1) Feed the apron (24) under and around the drum (23).
(2) Place the snub roller (8) in its brackets.
(3) Hold the snub roller and slide the drive roller assembly (7) with the output shaft of the motor
reduction gear case assembly.
(4) Engage the mating end of the drive roller assembly (7) with the output shaft of the motor
reduction gear case assembly.
(5) Install the bearing retainer (6) and secure it with the screws (4) and the lockwashers (5).
(6) Install each of the guide tubes (1) as follows:
(a) Seat the guide tube retainer spring (2) in its respective hole in the drier frame.
(b) Slip the guide tube (1) (from the left side of the drier) through- the loop formed by the
apron (24).
(c) Seat the innermost end of the guide tube against the installed guide tube retainer spring
(2).
(7) Straighten and align the apron (24) with the edges of the drum.
(8) Slip the table and tube (14) through the apron loop that remains outside the drier frame.
(9) Fit the table and tube to the end of the feed table (25) and loosely secure it with the screws
(13).
(10) Slip the squeegee roller (12) between the two thicknesses of the apron (24).
(11) Seat the squeegee roller in the squeegee lever assembly on each side of the drier (fig. 3-14).
Fasten the squeegee roller tension springs to the squeegee lever assemblies.
(12) Smooth out and center the apron (24, fig. 3-13) in the drier.
(13) Check to see that the takeup roller (3) turns freely and that it rests firmly on the apron (24),
taking up any slack in the apron (24).
