(3) On the EL-5(3) and EL-5(5), remove the screws (1, fig. 3-16) from the cradle (2) and slip the
lock plates (3) with the attached roller bearings (4) off of the squeegee roller (5).

(4) Place the squeegee lever (fig. 3-10) in the MATTE position.
(5) Lift the squeegee roller (5, fig. 3-15) out of the supporting cradles (22) and slide the squeegee
roller out of the drier.
(6) Remove the screws (6), the lockwashers (7), and the bearing retainer (8).
(7) Hold the tension rod (10) and slide the drive roller (11) out through the adjacent hole in the
left bearing support channel (9).
(8) Remove the tension rod (10).
(9) Tilt the takeup roller (12) and slip it out of its guide channels.
(10) Pull the apron (14) around and out from under the drum (15).
