Line Spacing.
Line spacing is as important to the legibility and overall quality of a
project as letter and word spacing.
Again, there are no hard and fast
rules. However, there are some general guidelines that when combined with
your good judgement will help you determine the line spacing appropriate
to your project.
a. In general, the line spacing should be between 1/2 to 1 1/2 times
the height of the letters.
b. Do not use a line spacing equal to the letter height.
c. In general, line spacing that is equal to 2/3 of the letter height
enhances the balance and legibility of your project. Figures 1-13 and 1-
14 are both examples of balanced line spacing.
