23. A-RT KEYING.
a. Situation 12. When performing EPC step 11, NO KEYING is observed.
This indicates an open circuit in the A-RT keying circuit. Trace the A-RT
keying circuit and identify the possible bad items of equipment (Figure 82).

b. General test procedures.
You must determine the type of test and
the location of the test points, to identify the actual bad item of
equipment. Troubleshooting techniques for this type of defect are circuit
substitution, followed by continuity measurements.
c. Test procedure 52. Move the handset from the J-3513/U J35 to the RT
SPKR jack and rekey the handset (or short pin A to pin C of the RT SPKR jack
with a screwdriver (Figure 83).
