Move the handset to the KY-57 AUDIO jack and key the handset
(Figure 86).
If the RT keys, the J-3513/U or the CX-13062/U is bad.
Remove
the RT from the MT-1029.
Remove the CX-13062/U from the J-3513/U J1.
Measure continuity of the CX-13062/U P1 pin C to P2 pin C.
If infinity is measured the CX-13062/U is bad.
If zero ohms is measure, the J-3513/U is bad.
g. Test procedure 56.
If the RT does not key with the
handset
connected to the KY-57 (Test procedure 55), disconnect the handset.
Remove the CX-13061/U from the KY-57 RAD jack.
With the ON-OFF TD switch set to OFF, measure continuity between
the KY-57 Audio Jack pin C to the RAD jack pin S.
If infinity is measured, the KY-57 is bad.
If zero ohms is measured, remove the RT from the MT-1029.
Remove the CX-13061/U from the J-3513/U J3.
Measure continuity of the CX-13061/U P2 pin S to P1 pin C.
If infinity is measured, the CX-13061/U is bad.
If zero ohms is measured, the J-3513/U is bad.
